Does anyone know who sells RN4075 atomizers? I have noticed that they get much better vapor and last much longer than the 901s. I have one thats still going with practically daily use since march 09.

Any help would be appreciated - I noticed most suppliers just call them 901s and u might get a 901 or you might get a RN4075.

Thanks!

Don't know where to post this so..........

It would be nice to see the "commercial" mods added to the Model Specific section. Not home made mods.

Maybe titled "Commercial Mods" or "Retail Mods". It would contain the likes of the Prodigy, Chuck, Silver Bullet, etc.

It seems that currently, the forum is basically Atomizer specific, which is great, but with more and more "Commercial" mods coming out, I think it would be beneficial.

I currently own a commercial mod and am looking for another, but I am having trouble identifying what they all are as well as reviews for them without searching tons of posts.

Just askin', that's all.

Thanks for listening!

I think a cool idea is to start an apples to apples poll. Some people like compare battery mods to super minis etc. But I think it would be cool to find what people like the best in each category. I have a question for you guys who are ecig enthusiasts and have tried tons of models etc.

Out of the super mini category which is your favorite?
RN4081 (peewee), joye306, m401/02etc, m702 (revolver)? Or any other that is not listed.

Out of the Mini types. Whats ur favorite?

Kr808D, joye510, dse901, e9, smoke51, magnum or another one not mentioned?

Just figured it would be an interesting poll in these categories. Excluding penstyle sizes and battery mod sizes.
Anyway, somewhat to my surprise, I LOVE this thing. I am so used to the manual batteries & passthroughs, I had forgotten about the ease of use from an automatic. And with this automatic passthrough, I can type & vape at the same time and still not fool with charging batteries.

Hello all,

This is my first hardware review. Since there is so much debate on the topic of battery mods I thought I would add my $0.02 to the long list of debatable points. I tried to confine the review to a few main topics. Construction, Vapor, Taste/Throat Hit, Flexibility, Customer Service, and Overall. Well, I hope you all find this enlightening. Enjoy.

Construction:

The original Copper is made from brass pipe fittings. What appears to be a 2" coupling with hex nut end caps. This is a device that you could hold in your hand and knock someone out with, much similar to the way you would use a roll of quarters. As a projectile, this would be lethal. Needless to say, other than a few scratches, dropping it shouldn't hurt it at all. The switch is a mechanical one, activated by pressing the mouthpiece toward the battery casing. The switch moves VERY easily. There is little effort at all needed. After just a couple hours of using it I was well adjusted to how it worked. This raises a little concern for carring it in my pocket. I can't recommend that this is the best way to tote this particular product. Because this is made from pipe fittings, there are exposed threads on the shaft. I found these uncomfortable. A little teflon tape or electrical tape fixes that issue quite quickly.

Grade: C

Vapor:

This thing is a vapor MACHINE!!! I was blowing plumes of vapor that were difficult to see through from the moment it touched my lips. What else can you say? It was very satisfying in that aspect.

Grade: A

Taste/Throat Hit:

Even with a 510 atomizer, I found the taste of the e-liquid came through stronger than ever. The Throat hit was usually so intense that it made me cough. I swear this thing hit like a 6' water pipe. The only downside here is that it smells strongly of the brass fittings and when I smelled the brass it mixed a bit with my taste.

Grade: B

Flexibility:

This pertains to how well the unit can adapt to your specific needs. The Copper is made for the RN4081 and has adapters for the 501, 801, and 901.
The way I ordered mine, I got a 510 fitting with no adapter. This is a very flexible mod.

Grade: A

Customer Service:

My order was placed on Black Friday and I had it in my hands the following Wednesday. I was at first confused about the adapter for the 510. I expected that I had the adapter. So, I email Rick at his website. Within 1 hour he called me. He didn't email me back. He CALLED me. He wanted to make sure that I had exactly what I wanted and that ALL my needs were met. When I told him what I actually wanted to do, he suggested that I just try it for a bit and see how I like it. He also told me that I could return it and get the RN4081 with the 510 adapter if I wanted as well. He is willing to do whatever it takes to see that I am happy and I am very satisfied with his efforts.

Grade: A

Overall:

This a very solid unit. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Rick backs his product as well as anyone could expect. It looks like a pipe fitting. It does have that brass smell to it. Overall, would I recommend this product to someone else? Yes, I would. Take the quality and combine it with the price point and i don't feel it can be beat.

Final Grade: B+

via: E-Cigarette Forum

OK, so one month in to vaping, and I have experienced two kinds of e-cigarette. My first was an unbranded L88b from EkoCigs.com (a generic BluCig with a red LED). At first, I liked it. It's about the size of a regular, king-sized cigarette. It came with a convenient personal charging case that enabled me to rotate batteries on the go, keeping one charged all the time. It seemed to produce a solid throat hit and a lot of vapor. I was pleased.

Then, I got an RN4081 (from Aquavaporcigs.com) and my opinion of the L88b has changed considerably.

The RN4081 beats down the L88b in every respect. Battery life is much longer (big plus), vapor production is better, and throat hit is much more consistent. I even find that I can taste my flavored liquids better with the RN4018. The L88b tended to give off more of a "burnt plastic" taste than anything else.

The big plus to the RN4081, as I mentioned above, is the battery life. I have found that the L88b batteries tend to die after only about an hour or so; maybe two. But I've been vaping my RN4081 in pacifier mode for about three hours so far, and my battery is still going strong.

And, I just got a PCC for it, so I can now charge the RN4081 on the go, too.

I know people like the 510 a lot, and the RN4081 has gotten trashed quite a bit on this forum. But compared to the L88b, it's a superior e-cig, and it's now taken over as my primary vape.

via: E-Cigarette Forum

Well I have had a BluCig, a dragon M401, a Joy306, multiple 510 and finally decided to try the DSE901.

Let me say I have used more than 10 510 atties and still have like 10 batteries. I really like the 510 but was getting like 30% good atty while the other 70% just sucked. Regardless it still my main pv device.

The first time I used the 901 I thought it sucked. The kit I bought came with the automatic batteries and you had to suck very hard to activate it. So hard that I was getting more juice than vapor. Yikes...I learned I could control this by covering the exhaust hole in the atty. It was a pain to use.

*Smoke production is excellent in-par with the 510.
*Taste is amazing. A lot better than the 510. The 510 is horrible in this department in my opinion. I did have a few atty with good taste. But most just sucked.
*Juice Wicking it's about the same as the 510.

I have then ordered a manual 901 battery and the pv it's a lot better now. In fact, I think I will be buying more 901 parts than 510 if I can solve the leakage issue.

One caveat I just can't fix or figure out it's finding how to refill the cart. You can't use the same technique as the 510. I still have leaky cartridge and get juice in my mouth most of the time. I have tried the PTB mod, the walgreen face scrub mod and also tried the straw filler mod. All with the same result, is there a better way to do this?

In conclusion, the 901 is an excellent PV. The atty is much better IMHO than the 510.

via: E-Cigarette Forum
